OUR BEGINNING
The Establishment of Innocement
In 2022, the construction works value in Sarawak surged, leading to a significant increase in cement demand. This rise resulted in a cement shortage in the State.
SARAWAK requires reliable and adequate supply of construction materials to ensure timely completion of projects. Delays results in additional cost and impact the lives of Sarawakians especially for critical projects such as schools, hospitals and infrastructure.
Shortages and disruption of supplies results in escalation of prices to the point that project owners’ (public and private) need to revise their budgets and schedules resulting in further delays and costs escalations.
InnoCement was created by the State Government to address these issues. The cement supply chain in Sarawak needed to be strengthened.
The existence of InnoCement will break the monopoly of cement supply. This will ensure competitive prices, high quality, and innovative products, ensuring consistent and reliable services and products to the customers….. Customers will benefit.
